After dating for a long time, actor Prateik Babbar has embarked on a new chapter of his life by marrying Priya Banerjee. The couple shared glimpses of their intimate and dreamy traditional wedding on social media.

Prateik and Priya tied the knot on Friday and delighted their followers by posting a series of stunning images from the ceremony. In a heartfelt caption, they wrote, “I’ll marry you in every lifetime #priyaKAprateik.”

The wedding was held at the late actress Smita Patil’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The shared images capture tender moments, including Prateik’s emotional expressions and a poignant picture of him sitting before his mother’s photograph.

Speaking to Vogue India about the wedding, Prateik expressed his sentiments: “We desired a ‘ghar ki shaadi,’ and getting married to the love of my life here—the first house that my mom bought and my home—was the best way to honor her in spirit.”

Prateik’s Second Marriage

This marks Prateik’s second marriage. He was previously married to Sanya Sagar, but the couple parted ways just a year after their wedding. Their divorce was officially finalized in January 2023.

Babbar Family Not Invited

Interestingly, Prateik’s father, veteran actor Raj Babbar, and other members of the Babbar family were not invited to the wedding. His half-brother Aarya Babbar expressed his confusion and disappointment over this decision in an interview with ETimes.

Aarya shared that he had always believed in a strong bond with Prateik and found the exclusion surprising.

Aarya stated, “I presume someone has overpowered his brain too much. He is not wanting to connect with anyone from this side of the family. He has decided not to call anyone.”

The intimate wedding included traditional haldi and mehendi ceremonies before the pheras. The couple ensured that their close friends and loved ones were present to witness their union in a warm and personal setting.
