Game of Thrones Star Jerome Flynn Joins Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan as Boris Oliver

Actor and singer Jerome Flynn, widely recognized for portraying Bronn in Game of Thrones, is set to play a significant role in L2: Empuraan, the upcoming film starring Mohanlal.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the movie marks the sequel to the highly successful Lucifer.

The makers recently unveiled a first-look poster and a video featuring Flynn sharing his experience working on the film. He will be seen as Boris Oliver, a pivotal character in the storyline.

Prithviraj Sukumaran shared the character poster on social media, stating, “Character No. 07 Jerome Flynn as Boris Oliver in #L2E #Empuraan (sic).”

In a video message, Flynn expressed his excitement, saying, “I play the part of Boris in Empuraan or L2:E. I can’t quite remember how I got roped into this job, but I’m so glad I did because it was a completely different experience from what I’m used to having over in the UK or the US. To be part of the Mollywood culture of things and to get a taste of that was really special.”

Jerome Flynn’s Special Bond with India

Flynn further elaborated on his deep connection with India. The Black Mirror actor revealed, “It’s extra special to me because India was a really important… precious part of my journey. I spent several years coming over here in my late 20s and early 30s, mostly on spiritual retreats. The whole experience of being in India has changed my life forever in the best possible way. So, doing this job felt rather like coming home.”

Despite not filming his sequences in India, Flynn shared that the film’s set gave him the feeling of being in the country.

He described the set environment as “beautiful orchestrated chaos,” where everyone was passionate about their work. He added, “It made it one of the most enjoyable jobs I’ve ever done.”

Jerome Flynn’s Excitement for the Film

Without revealing too many details about his character, Flynn hinted that Boris Oliver plays an essential part in Khuresh’s journey.

He said, “I can’t give away too much about my character except to say that he does play an important role in Khuresh’s journey. So, I really hope you guys enjoy my character and the film. I hope you enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.”

Flynn has an impressive Hollywood career with notable performances in Soldier Soldier, Ripper Street, Loving Vincent, and The Change, among others.

L2: Empuraan – A Highly Anticipated Sequel

The Mohanlal-starrer L2: Empuraan is set for release on March 27, 2025. The film features an ensemble cast, including Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Sachin Khedekar, and more.

The makers of L2: Empuraan have been unveiling character posters to introduce significant roles in the film. Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed Flynn’s character, Boris Oliver, along with an intriguing new poster.

Speaking in the character reveal video, Flynn stated, “It was a completely different experience from what I was used to in the UK or the US. To get a taste of Mollywood culture, to be a part of that was really special.”
