BJP MP Tejasvi Surya was seen attending the 18th Lok Sabha session at the Parliament with his wife, Sivasri Skandaprasad. This marked the couple’s first public appearance together after their recent wedding.

Surya and Skandaprasad tied the knot on March 6 in a private ceremony attended by close family members and select political associates.

The intimate wedding was kept away from media attention, but several prominent BJP leaders, including Karnataka BJP state president B Y Vijayendra, Union ministers V Somanna and Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with BJP MPs and MLAs, were present to bless the couple.

Tejasvi Surya Shares Wedding Announcement on Social Media

Following the ceremony, Tejasvi Surya took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share the news of his wedding.

“With the blessings of Gurus, elders, and well-wishers, married @ArtSivasri today as per Vedic traditions. We seek your blessings and wishes as we start this journey together!” Surya wrote.

He also posted a video inviting guests to their wedding reception in Bengaluru and made a special request on behalf of himself and his wife.

“Sivasri and I are eagerly looking forward to seeing you all at our wedding reception tomorrow. However, we have a request,” he shared.

Who is Sivasri Skandaprasad?

Sivasri Skandaprasad is a well-known Carnatic singer and Bharatanatyam dancer who has performed at prestigious events like the Brahma Gana Sabha and Kartik Fine Arts. Her talent has also taken her to international platforms in Denmark and South Korea.

Academically accomplished, Sivasri holds a degree in bioengineering from SASTRA University and a master’s degree in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras. In addition, she has studied Sanskrit and holds a diploma in Ayurvedic cosmetology.

Couple Meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi

After their wedding, Tejasvi Surya and Sivasri Skandaprasad met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The couple presented the Prime Minister with a rare 750-year-old manuscript of the Sarvamoola Grantha, composed by Sri Madhwacharya.

Sharing the details of their meeting on social media, Surya wrote, “Sivasri and I had the opportunity to meet and receive blessings from our Hon. PM Sri Narendra Modi Ji. As always, the Prime Minister exuded warmth and love and blessed us. He remarked that he had seen our wedding pictures, which left us both pleasantly surprised.”

The Technology Behind Preserving the Ancient Manuscript

Tejasvi Surya explained that the manuscript was preserved using a cutting-edge technology called Waferfiche.

This semiconductor-based technology uses silicon wafers as substrates for writing, with gold or aluminium metal deposition used to inscribe the text.

“The size reduction allows hundreds of images to be embedded on a single wafer. These wafers are fireproof and waterproof and can last for over a thousand years,” Surya explained. He highlighted that this technology was also used by NASA to create a time capsule during the first Moon landing.

The manuscript was preserved in its modern form by Tara Prakashana, an NGO from Surya’s constituency dedicated to the preservation of ancient manuscripts.

“Like an eager student, the PM asked questions about this process of preservation of ancient manuscripts and explained the need to preserve our traditional wisdom,” Surya added.

India’s Efforts to Preserve Civilisational Knowledge

Tejasvi Surya also mentioned that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the country is working to preserve ancient manuscripts that hold valuable civilisational knowledge.

“Prime Minister Modi has launched the Gnana Bharat Mission and made budgetary allocations to support this important initiative,” Surya stated. He expressed gratitude for receiving blessings from the Prime Minister, calling him an “epochal leader.”

Political Figures and Well-Wishers Congratulate the Couple

Several BJP leaders and political figures congratulated Tejasvi Surya and Sivasri Skandaprasad on their wedding. The couple’s appearance in Parliament and their meeting with the Prime Minister have drawn attention to their new beginning.

The wedding of the young BJP leader and the accomplished Carnatic singer has created a buzz, with many extending their best wishes to the newlyweds.
