Raveena Tandon Confronts Farah Khan Over Karisma Kapoor Feud Rumours in Candid Vlog Chat
In a recent vlog, filmmaker Farah Khan visited Raveena Tandon’s farmhouse, accompanied by her cook, Dilip. During their casual chat, a past controversy resurfaced—Raveena’s infamous fallout with Karisma Kapoor.
The two actors were reportedly at odds during the filming of Andaz Apna Apna and Aatish in 1994.
Raveena Questions Farah About the Rumours
While talking at the farmhouse, Raveena directly addressed Farah and questioned her for speaking about the feud publicly.
“You went everywhere and said that fights were happening on set. When did we fight?” Raveena asked. Farah stood by her earlier statements, insisting, “It’s true.”
Raveena then asked what exactly she did, to which Farah clarified that the actress “didn’t do anything” to anyone. Raveena responded, “What did I do? I was sitting with dancers who were my friends and they were sharing non-veg jokes.”
From Old Conflicts to Modern-Day Parenting
The conversation quickly shifted to present-day realities. Farah remarked, “Now everyone’s kids are going in the same school and we keep meeting on annual days.”
Raveena agreed, adding, “We were also kids at that time. We were 20-21 years old. It was classroom politics and we had to face that.”
Both women seemed to reflect on their youth, acknowledging that the rivalry may have stemmed from immaturity rather than any real animosity.
Do Today’s Actors Also Have Conflicts?
As the discussion evolved, Farah brought up the current generation of actors. She suggested that the new crop of stars don’t engage in such rivalries anymore, stating, “These days they are all sterile.”
Raveena disagreed and countered, “No, these things still happen, not that frequently, but they do happen.”
Raveena pointed out that while today’s actors deal with constant paparazzi attention and strive to maintain a polished public image, the previous generation also faced their share of media scrutiny.
The difference, she noted, lies in the tools available now. Actors today have access to social media, allowing them to present their side of the story directly to fans—something actors in the 90s lacked.
Farah’s Past Comments About the Fight
Farah had previously discussed the fight during her 2007 appearance on Koffee with Karan.
She had said, “I was once doing a song with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, long ago, in a film called Aatish. They were both having some kind of teenage spat. They were hitting each other with their wigs.”
She added, “They were wearing these wigs with plaits and beads in them. One was hitting, the other was stamping her foot with her heel. It was quite childish. I am sure they will laugh about it now.”
Her recollection painted the fight as more immature than malicious, reinforcing the idea that the actors were simply too young to handle the pressures of fame and competition.
Raveena Reflects on Reconciliation
In a 2012 interview, Raveena shared that her relationship with Karisma eventually improved. One major factor in their reconciliation was their daughters—Rasha Thadani and Samaira Kapoor—attending the same school.
“Since our girls go to the same school, we end up bumping into each other and have bonded well. It’s easier to hang out and discuss our kids,” Raveena had said.
This shared parenthood seemed to help mend old wounds, leading to more frequent and cordial interactions.
Looking Back Without Bitterness
Through their conversation, both Farah and Raveena appeared to reflect on the past without bitterness. What was once perceived as a serious feud now seems more like a youthful misunderstanding.
With both actresses now leading different lives and embracing motherhood, it’s clear that time has softened the tension and allowed for growth.
Whether sparked by genuine rivalry or youthful egos, the feud between Raveena and Karisma has become a part of Bollywood’s nostalgic tales—now recalled more with laughter than regret.
