TV Actor Vibhu Raghave Passes Away After Battle with Stage 4 Colon Cancer

Television actor Vibhu Raghave, widely recognised for his role in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, has died following a prolonged fight against stage four colon cancer.

Diagnosis and Demise

Vibhu, whose real name was Vaibhav Kumar Singh Raghave, was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2022. After an extensive period of treatment, he breathed his last on June 2 in Mumbai. He was undergoing care at Nanavati Hospital at the time of his passing.

Funeral Arrangements

His close friends confirmed his death on social media, including Addite Malik and Saumya Tandon.

They shared the details of his funeral, announcing that the antim darshan would be held on June 3 from 12:30 PM onwards, followed by a funeral procession at 1 PM from 11, Relief Road, Prakash Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jogeshwari West, Mumbai.

Tributes From Friends and Co-stars

Addite Malik shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, writing, “The purest soul, a beacon of strength & positivity. His smile could light up any room & his presence alone made everything feel better. He faced life with unmatched grace & left behind a love that will never fade. He will be deeply missed. Always.”

Simple Kaul also expressed her sorrow on Instagram, writing, “You will be missed my dear friend @vibhuzinsta. Love light and happiness to you.” Actor Karan Veer Mehra shared a tribute that read, “Rest in peace brother. Too soon.”

Vibhu’s Career and Personal Life

Vibhu Raghave was a known face in Indian television, having acted in shows like Nisha Aur Uske Cousins and Savdhaan India.

During his illness, Vibhu remained connected with his fans through Instagram, sharing updates and expressing his journey. He is survived by his mother, brother, and sister.

Appeal for Support During Treatment

In the final stages of his illness, Vibhu’s friends appealed for financial help to support his treatment. A crowdfunding appeal was posted on May 27 by friends including Simple Kaul and Addite Malik.

The post stated, “Hello everyone! A little update about our friend Vibhu @vibhuzinsta who’s been our friend, coactor and our co-worker in our restaurants. He’s been more than a family to us.

He’s still battling with 4th stage cancer in Nanavati Hospital since the last two weeks. It’s been an overwhelming journey for all of us to see him go through this. He’s fighting it bravely.

We have exhausted our funds and we need immediate funds to save him. Please pray for his recovery & do contribute whatever you can for his hospital treatment. Your wishes and prayers have helped us earlier too. Thank you for immense love and prayers.”

Tributes From the Industry

Many from the television industry expressed their grief on social media. Kaveri Priyam shared a tribute via Instagram, while Karan Veer Mehra posted a broken heart emoji and a farewell message, “Too soon, Rest in peace brother.”

Simple Kaul’s message read, “Will miss you my dearest friend. Love, light and happiness to you.”

His Battle With Cancer

Throughout his treatment, Vibhu kept fans updated. In a video, he revealed that cancer had spread to his liver, spine, bones, and lungs.

Despite the diagnosis, he remained hopeful, saying, “It was shocking. I was worried for a few days… but the only treatment right now is chemotherapy. Everything is going good now. Chemotherapy will shrink it.”

His Last Words on Social Media

Vibhu’s last Instagram post, dated April 12, simply read, “One day at a time,” encapsulating his resilience and courage even during his most challenging days.

Final Goodbye

Actor Addite Malik shared funeral details on Instagram and honoured him with the words, “We invite all those who knew & loved him to join us in honoring his life & bidding him a peaceful farewell.”

The message was accompanied by the names of Vibhu’s family members—mother Anupama Raghav, late father Ravindra Kumar Singh, brother Aishwarya Raghave, and sister Garima Singh Tyagi.

Simple Kaul concluded her tribute with a spiritual message, “Aum Namah Shivay.”

Actor Vibhu Raghave’s journey touched many. His untimely death leaves a void in the television industry, but his strength, positivity, and legacy will continue to inspire.
