Prabhas’ Action Drama The Raja Saab Set for December 5 Release; New Poster Unveiled

The makers of The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, officially announced the film’s release date as December 5, 2025. Along with the announcement, a new poster was unveiled showing Prabhas standing confidently amid flames and debris.
The title “RAJASAAB” is prominently displayed in gold letters, adding to the intense and dramatic vibe.

Teaser Release Scheduled for June 16
The teaser for the film is scheduled to release on June 16, offering fans a first glimpse at what is being called a genre-defying horror romantic comedy.
Prabhas is said to be stepping into a new space with The Raja Saab, marking his first full-fledged horror entertainer.
A Unique Cinematic Experience
The first motion poster hinted at a blend of supernatural intrigue and classic romantic flair. Produced by People Media Factory, the film is being developed on a large scale with high production values.
Prabhas shared the film’s latest poster on Instagram, captioning it, “#TheRajaSaab Teaser on June 16th. See you in theatres on Dec 5th. @director_maruthi @vishwaprasad.tg @peoplemediafactory.”
The image depicts Prabhas removing a flaming red cloth, with Indian currency flying in the background, creating the illusion of a daring magic trick.
Star Cast and Crew
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar in significant roles. The film also stars Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Music has been composed by Thaman S, while Karthik Palani has handled the cinematography.
Editing is done by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao, and the screenplay has been written by Maruthi. The film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla under the People Media Factory banner.
Production Style and Musical Freedom
In a break from traditional filmmaking methods, the team opted not to finalize the songs before filming. Instead, Thaman was given the creative freedom to revisit and refine his compositions as production continued.
Delayed but Ready
Originally, The Raja Saab was set to release in April 2025. However, the date was first pushed due to the need to complete VFX work and polish the final cut.
Later, it was postponed again for additional shoot segments and fine-tuning. The December 5 release date has now been officially confirmed.

Maruthi shared his thoughts, calling the film “one of my most ambitious projects to date.”
He added, “Collaborating with Prabhas and People Media Factory is both an honour and exciting for me as a filmmaker. We are geared up to offer our audiences a grand horror experience.

The Raja Saab is set for a massive release across multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. With anticipation already high following the success of Prabhas’ last release Kalki 2898 AD, the upcoming film is expected to be a major crowd-puller.
