Ranbir Kapoor Jets Off for Family Vacation After Wrapping Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1
The shooting of the much-awaited epic film Ramayana: Part 1, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has officially come to an end.
A video from the last day on set is going viral on social media, where lead actor Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, can be seen giving an emotional speech.
In the video, the entire cast and crew are gathered for a wrap-up ceremony. Ranbir expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the team and called portraying Lord Ram the most important role of his career.
He also thanked his co-stars Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravi Dubey, and others for being a part of the ambitious project.
Ravi Dubey, who plays Lakshman in the film, was seen standing beside Ranbir during the emotional moment.
Another video from the set shows Ranbir and Ravi celebrating the completion of the shoot with a cake-cutting ceremony.
Director Nitesh Tiwari also addressed the team with an emotional speech, which received loud applause and cheers. Ranbir was also seen sharing a tight hug with Ravi Dubey, highlighting the bond they formed while filming.
The Cast and Crew of Ramayana
The film features a star-studded cast with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash playing the role of Ravana. Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, and Lara Dutta portraying Kaikeyi.
With Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG handling the film’s visual effects, Ramayana is being made on an unprecedented scale. The project is among the most awaited films in Bollywood.
Ramayana First Look to be Unveiled in Nine Cities
The excitement among fans is set to rise further as the makers have announced that the first look of Ramayana will be revealed on July 3.
The first glimpse of the film will be launched across nine major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, and Kochi.
The film, which has been in production for a long time, is finally moving towards its release, with Part 1 scheduled to hit theatres during Diwali 2026. The second part is expected to release in Diwali 2027.
Mega Budget Film
Ramayana: Part 1 is reportedly being made on a massive budget of Rs 835 crore. Directed by Dangal fame Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Yash and Namit Malhotra, the film promises to be a grand cinematic experience.
Yash, who plays the menacing Ravana, has already completed shooting his portions. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how this mythological epic unfolds on the big screen.
Ranbir and Alia Spotted at the Airport for Family Vacation
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor was spotted at the airport with wife Alia Bhatt and his mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, as the family left for a vacation.
Neetu Kapoor is set to turn 67 on July 8, and the family is likely heading out to celebrate the special occasion.
Ranbir and Alia were seen dressed in comfortable travel attire. Ranbir wore a white t-shirt with a blue tracksuit and dark sunglasses.
Alia was seen in a white t-shirt, black pants, and a baseball cap from Ranbir’s lifestyle brand ARKS. Neetu Kapoor wore a dark blue co-ord set.
The couple smiled and posed for the paparazzi, with Ranbir wrapping his arm around Alia for the pictures.
Request to Maintain Raha’s Privacy
Earlier this year, Ranbir and Alia had requested the media to respect their daughter Raha’s privacy. During an interaction with paparazzi, Ranbir had said, “Hum industry mein born hue hain and all of you guys are my family. Koi legal or illegal route lene ki koi zaroorat nahi hai hume.
Hum jab aap logon ko bulate hain aur aapse binati karte hain aap sunte ho aur jaise aap ko kuch chahiye humse hum dedete hain… I think we all work together, we give our words to each other. aaj humne aap sabko bulaya hai and aapse binati karenge kyuki it is for the betterment of our child.”
Ranbir and Alia, who tied the knot in April 2022, welcomed their daughter Raha in November the same year.
