HT City has confirmed exclusively that the film has been titled Haiwaan, which translates to “beast” in English.
A source associated with the project shared, “The team felt this describes their subject the best, and conveys exactly how Priyadarshan sees it — as an edge-of-the-seat thriller.
There were other titles in contention, but this one clicked unanimously, given the characters the lead actors play.”
Akshay and Saif Reunite After Tashan
The film will mark the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after their last appearance together in Tashan, which released in 2008.
The film, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, also featured Anil Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Now, 17 years later, the duo is set to share the screen once again in Haiwaan, much to the excitement of their fans.
Filming Schedule and Release Plan
The shoot for Haiwaan is expected to commence in August this year. The makers plan to release the film in theatres next year.
