Faissal Khan Cuts Ties with Family, Levels Affair Allegations Against Brother Aamir Khan

Faissal Khan recently shocked many by declaring he has severed all ties with his brother Aamir Khan and the family.

Speaking to HT City after a press conference on Monday, he revealed that the rift began following his interview to a portal where he claimed that Aamir had locked him in a room in 2005, citing mental health concerns.

Allegations Against Family

According to Faissal, his comments were followed by a media circular from the family, accusing him of misleading people and lying.

“After that, they issued a circular in the media saying I am misleading people and lying. They never trusted me, so I don’t trust them. When there is no truth, there is no respect, and when there is no respect, there is no relationship,” he said.

Faissal alleged that his own mother and sister once signed documents stating that he was paranoid and suffered from schizophrenia.

He added that in 2007 he was pressured to give up his signatory rights, which led him to leave the house. “Then my mother and sister put a case on me. I won it eventually. I was tested at JJ hospital for 20 days,” he said.

He further criticized the family for describing him as emotionally and psychologically unwell in their statements.

“I hit back and said I am severing ties with them. I have given all the dates in my public notice. They were trying to not give any dates and being cunning,” he claimed.

Dispute Over Financial Support

Until recently, Faissal lived in the same building as Aamir and received financial assistance. He admitted that Aamir once gave him work.

“I was taking some money from him. In 2009 or 2010, Aamir had given me a job as a script doctor and paid me ₹30,000. After two-three years, he suddenly decided to throw me out of my job,” he recalled.

Faissal said he confronted his brother at the time. “I fought with him then and said ‘you said that I am mad, to the world. I am not going to get work. You have to give me sustenance till I don’t stand on my feet, then he agreed. Now I don’t want any help, because he feels if he is paying me then I should not say anything,” he explained.

He confirmed that by cutting ties, he is also giving up all rights to any property or inheritance.

Speaking about Aamir’s remark in a recent interview that he prayed for Faissal to receive all his success, he responded, “But ask Faissal, does he want that? I don’t want anything of Aamir—his name, fame, house, wives or girlfriends. I am content with what I have. He doesn’t have peace and contentment, that’s why he keeps crying in every interview.”

Strained Family Relations

Faissal said no one from the family contacted him after his announcement. He also alleged mistreatment from his brother-in-law, Santosh.

“Santosh, my brother in law would not let me meet my mother. He was very abusive to me. He gets very obnoxious after drinking. He’s a ghar jamaai,” Faissal claimed.

On his current state of mind, he said, “Today I am in a much better position. I know how to demand my self respect. I can’t compromise my dignity and respect.”

Serious Accusations Against Aamir

Faissal also accused Aamir of having an illegitimate child. “Aamir was divorced from Reena, having an affair with (journalist) Jessica Heines and an illegal child with her. Then he was living with Kiran Rao,” he alleged.

He recalled that in 2002, he got married and divorced in the same year.

His family allegedly pressured him to remarry, which led him to write a letter to his relatives. “I used some abusive language in the letter, for which I later apologised. Then in 2005 they came and caught me. They planned the full thing,” he said.

He further accused his family of having him admitted to a mental hospital where he was given medicines against his will. “I think Aamir had lost his mind, and he did all this to me under the influence of my mother, Nikhat, Santosh Hegde, and Imtiaz,” Faissal alleged.

He also claimed that in 2008 he lost the opportunity to appear in ‘Bigg Boss’ because of Aamir’s interference. “I am sure Aamir found out and stopped it from happening,” he said.

Plans for Legal Separation

Faissal announced that he will legally end his relationship with his family. “I will cut ties with the family in a legal way. I will file a petition on this in a month’s time. But I won’t file a defamation case as I don’t want anything from him,” he clarified.

He also reiterated past claims that his family labeled him schizophrenic and dangerous to society. He alleged that Aamir once confined him in his Mumbai home for over a year.

Career Background

Faissal made his acting debut with Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Madhosh’ in 1996 and gained recognition with Aamir Khan’s ‘Mela’ (2000), directed by Dharmesh Darshan. However, after controversies and family disputes, he distanced himself from the industry.
