Security Breach on ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Set? Viral TikTok Sparks Speculation and Fan Frenzy

A potential new controversy may be brewing around Avengers: Doomsday, the upcoming blockbuster directed by the Russo Brothers. With the film’s release still a year away, buzz around it refuses to die down—even as other Marvel projects line up ahead of it.

Fan Allegedly Sneaks Onto Set

Following the commercial success of Thunderbolts, which marked a new era for the Avengers, an alleged fan is said to have infiltrated the set of Avengers: Doomsday.

This marks a shift from the earlier days when actors like Tom Holland were known for inadvertently revealing spoilers. Now, it seems, leaks are coming directly from unauthorized set visits.

Filming began in April 2025 in London. A TikTok user, @TheyNeverSawItComing, claimed in a now-viral video that they managed to sneak onto the set. The clip not only exploded on TikTok but gained significant traction on X (formerly Twitter), where Marvel fans eagerly analyzed it for possible easter eggs.

A Glimpse at the Set

The video shows the user moving through various parts of the lot, including cast trailers and heavy machinery.

While they claimed to have spotted an actor, no Marvel celebrities were actually shown. Yet, the footage was enough to send fan pages into a frenzy.

One specific detail caught everyone’s attention—a bar set labeled ‘Madripoor’. This fictional Southeast Asian island known for its criminal underworld has appeared in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Moon Knight, and Echo.

This set detail alone seemed to confirm the authenticity of the footage for many, although a significant section of the fandom remained skeptical.

Fan Reactions: Real or Staged?

Reactions on X were divided. One user noted, “The TikTok clip, the Username, the fact that it did not immediately get sniped down by Disney… this is painfully staged as hell…” Another added sarcastically, “Yeah this definitely isn’t some stunt by Disney.”

Skeptics questioned the legitimacy of the “sneak-in” and the fan’s actions, saying, “He walked around with a backpack on, phone out like he’s recording, and that’s how someone looks if they’re supposed to be there?”

Some even suggested the video might have been filmed at a regular construction site, while others brought the focus back to the Madripoor clue.

One user mockingly dubbed the video a “Getting arrested tutorial,” while jokes referencing Tom Holland were also common: “Tom Holland activities” and “That’s just Tom Holland spoiling stuff again.”

Was It Worth the Hype?

Despite the buzz, many pointed out that the TikToker captured little of substance. With no significant spoilers, the footage may not justify the hype. Others worried the stunt could lead to legal action or inspire similar attempts by other fans.

The video’s claim—that security at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England, was weak—fueled more debate. The user claimed to have walked in easily, even showing themselves leaving through the front entrance.

Marvel Studios has yet to comment, though the original video was eventually taken down from TikTok. Until an official statement is released, the studio risks encouraging more of these disruptive behaviors.

The Madripoor Connection

Among the few standout details was the partial view of a bar labeled Madripoor. Fans immediately speculated about its significance, especially with the word “Shang-Chi” appearing next to it in the video.

Actor Simu Liu, who plays Shang-Chi, is part of the massive ensemble cast for the upcoming film.

This hint, though small, gave fans a new thread to follow in unraveling the film’s plot and potential character arcs.

Release and Star-Studded Cast

Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters globally on May 1, 2026. The film will bring back Robert Downey Jr. in a new role—as Doctor Doom. The cast is stacked with both returning Avengers and newcomers from the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises.

Confirmed cast members include Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Pedro Pascal.
