Saif Ali Khan Returns Home After Knife Attack; Actor Boosts Security with Ronit Roy’s Agency

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was discharged from Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday after being attacked with a knife in his Bandra home on January 16.

The actor, who sustained injuries to his neck, spine, and wrist, sought immediate medical help by taking an auto-rickshaw to the hospital.

Following six days of hospitalization, he returned to his residence, Satguru Sharan apartment, amidst tightened security measures.

Tightened Security with Ronit Roy’s Agency

To enhance his safety, Saif Ali Khan has decided to change his security team. He has enlisted the services of actor Ronit Roy’s security agency, Ace Security and Protection.

This agency, which provides security to prominent Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Aamir Khan, is now responsible for Saif’s security.

Ronit Roy commented on the matter, stating, “We are already here with Saif. He is doing fine now, and has come back.”

Details of the Stabbing Incident

The knife attack occurred on January 16 at Saif’s Bandra home. The intruder, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad, entered the apartment with the intention of theft, climbing from the 8th to the 12th floor using a pipe.

He accessed the apartment through a bathroom window since the backdoor of Saif’s flat was the only one open in the building.

Shariful later told police that he was unaware he had broken into the home of a Bollywood star and only realized the significance of his target after the news broke.

During the confrontation, Saif sustained six stab wounds, including one to his thoracic spine, which required surgery. The knife missed his spinal cord by just 2 mm, and doctors performed plastic surgery on his arm and neck.

Intruder Arrested

The Mumbai Police arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national living in India under the false identity of Bijoy Das. He was caught at Hiranandani Estate in Thane while attempting to flee to his native village.

According to police, Saif’s housemaid, Eliyama Philip, was the first to notice the intruder.

She described how Saif confronted him and was attacked with a wooden object and a hexa blade. Despite his injuries, Saif managed to escape, and the intruder fled the scene soon after.

Saif’s Return Home

On January 21, Saif was discharged from Lilavati Hospital. Wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, he returned home amidst heavy security, waving to fans and paparazzi gathered outside his Bandra residence.

Viral footage captured the actor’s calm demeanor as he entered his home, flanked by police and security personnel.

Saif’s decision to upgrade his security arrangements follows the breach at his residence. His choice of Ronit Roy’s agency reflects a commitment to ensuring the safety of his family and himself.

Ronit Roy’s Security Expertise

Ronit Roy’s agency, Ace Security and Protection, has a long-standing reputation for providing reliable security services to Bollywood celebrities.

While Ronit declined to share specific details about the security arrangements, he assured the public that Saif is in good health and safe.

The intruder, Shariful, admitted to entering the building with the intention of theft. He accessed Saif Ali Khan’s apartment through a bathroom window after discovering that the backdoor was left open.

Shariful claimed he was unaware that the home belonged to the Bollywood star and only realized the identity of his target after the incident gained media attention.

Following this security breach, Saif has taken measures to enhance his safety by opting for round-the-clock protection from Ronit Roy’s security agency.
