Wedding Bells for Vishal? Actor Rumoured to Marry Co-Star Sai Dhanshika
Tamil actor Vishal Krishna, 47, has long teased fans and media about his wedding plans. After years of speculation, the actor has officially confirmed he is tying the knot with actress Sai Dhanshika.
The couple made their relationship public during the press conference of Dhanshika’s upcoming film Yogi Da in Chennai on May 19, 2025.
Vishal’s Earlier Hints About Marriage
Vishal, who has played a key role in the Nadigar Sangam (Tamil Film Actors Association), had earlier stated that he would get married once the association’s new building was completed.
When asked recently about his marital plans as the construction neared completion, he responded, “Yes, I’ve found the person. We’ve had conversations about marriage and this will be a love marriage. I’ll announce more details about the bride and the wedding date very soon.”
Dhanshika Confirmed as the Bride
While many speculated about the identity of Vishal’s bride, sources close to him have confirmed that the woman in question is indeed Sai Dhanshika.
Vishal even attended an event for Yogi Da, where Dhanshika stars, further fuelling rumours of an impending wedding announcement.
Reports suggest that the two actors met a few months ago, and their bond has grown stronger since. Although neither had made an official statement earlier, Vishal hinted that the wedding would happen within four months.
Their Long-standing Bond
Dhanshika revealed during the press conference that she and Vishal have known each other for the past 15 years.
“Initially, we wanted to bring our friendship to the fore, but when that report went viral in the morning, it felt that now there was nothing left to hide. We are going to get married on 29 August. I have known Vishal for a long time. He has always treated me with respect. When I was going through a difficult time, he came to my house and helped me. No other actor does this. This behaviour of his means a lot to me,” she said.
A Relationship Built on Mutual Respect
Talking about how their relationship evolved, Dhanshika shared, “Recently our conversation and interaction increased and we realised that we are made for each other. With mutual consent from both of us, it was decided that we should get married. I just want him to be happy. Vishal, I love you.”
Vishal, echoing her sentiments, said, “My marriage is fixed. I have found my life partner. Dhanshika’s father is also present here, with his blessings, I am making Dhanshika my life partner. She is a wonderful person and I am very happy.”
Humour and Gratitude at the Announcement
Injecting some humour into the moment, Vishal said he wouldn’t become like the comic duo Vadivelu and Kovai Sarala from Kalam Mari Pochu.
He laughed and added, “Seeing Dhanshika doing action in Yogi Da, I felt that I have to be cautious. Her kick goes straight to the head. Maybe I will also have to learn stunts.”
Calling himself lucky, Vishal said, “God always gives the best in the last – and for me that is Dhanshika. Now we have a good understanding, and I hope it will always remain. I have full faith in her.”
Dhanshika to Continue Acting After Marriage
Addressing questions about Dhanshika’s career post-marriage, Vishal clarified, “I promise that she will continue acting. She is extremely talented and I don’t want her art to be limited.”
The couple concluded the press conference by thanking the media and fans for their support and warm wishes. The wedding is scheduled to take place on August 29, which also marks Dhanshika’s birthday.

Sai Dhanshika, 35, is known for her dynamic presence in Tamil cinema. She began her career in 2006 with Manathodu Mazhaikalam, credited as Marina. She later appeared in films like Maranthen Meimaranthen, Thirudi, and the Kannada film Kempa.
Her breakthrough came in 2009 with Peranmai, co-starring Jayam Ravi. One of her most acclaimed roles was in Kabali (2016), where she played superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter. Her performance received wide praise and solidified her position in the industry.
