Yash Raj Films (YRF) has released the teaser of its upcoming romantic drama Saiyaara, introducing Ahaan Panday, cousin of actress Ananya Panday, in his debut acting role.

The film also features Aneet Padda, known for her roles in the web series Big Girls Don’t Cry and the film Salaam Venky starring Kajol. Directed by Mohit Suri, who is known for his previous works Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, Saiyaara is set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 18, 2025.

A Glimpse Into Love and Heartbreak

The teaser, shared by YRF on social media, runs for one minute and fifteen seconds. It captures the essence of young love, emotional turmoil, and heartbreak through the lens of the lead pair, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.

The visuals present an emotional narrative that resonates with Mohit Suri’s signature storytelling style. The production is helmed by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani.

Title Track Teaser Adds to the Buzz

Following the teaser release of the film, YRF has continued to build anticipation by launching a preview of the film’s title track, Saiyaara, which is the first single from the soundtrack.

The song teaser further explores the emotional intensity of the film, highlighting Suri’s familiar themes of love and heartbreak.

Composed by Tanishk Bagchi with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, the track is expected to become a romantic anthem. The full title song is slated to release on June 3, 2025.

Strong Social Media Reception

The teaser has quickly gained traction across social media platforms, with fans expressing their excitement for both the film and the fresh pairing of Ahaan and Aneet.

The chemistry between the debutants has been a key talking point, with moody visuals and subtle expressions capturing attention.

Audiences have responded positively to the emotional depth and romantic tension portrayed in the glimpses released so far.

Mohit Suri’s Shift to YRF

Director Mohit Suri, known for directing films under the Vishesh Films banner such as Zeher, Kalyug, Woh Lamhe, Awarapan, and the hit Aashiqui 2, makes his debut collaboration with YRF through Saiyaara.

This transition marks a significant milestone in his career, as he brings his distinct directorial approach to one of Bollywood’s most prominent production houses.

Speaking about the film, Suri said, “I feel you can tell so many beautiful stories and take people along so many journeys and celebrate so many emotions but romantic genre is always special.

Saiyaara is my homage to the love stories I love and the sweeping romances that I have come across through my life. I have been fortunate to have met so many people who have been kind enough to share their incredible love stories with me.”

Praise for the Debutants and Team

Commenting on the reception of the teaser, Suri added, “I’m delighted to see this unanimous response to the teaser of Saiyaara. I’m thrilled for Ahaan and Aneet.

They deserve all the love because they have really put in everything for people to connect so deeply with the teaser of Saiyaara. I share this moment with my incredible team and everyone at YRF.

I hope people keep engaging and connecting with Saiyaara as we peel every layer of emotion, every season of love through our marketing campaign.”

A New Romantic Journey for YRF

With Saiyaara, Yash Raj Films is shifting its focus back to the romantic genre, moving away from its recent emphasis on spy films.

By introducing two fresh faces in leading roles and collaborating with a director known for intense musical romances, the studio aims to deliver a timeless love story.

The teaser, released on May 30, 2025, has set the tone for what is being anticipated as one of the year’s most talked-about films.

Saiyaara, produced by YRF, is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on July 18, 2025.
